Dear #PeriodPositive Supporters...

You are a fashion-forward flash mob, and this is your call to action. Put on your period stain necklace or badge, take a sassy selfie as a superhero and be a part of this year's Menstrual Hygiene Day on 28th May. The Guardian is watching and the best photos from the day will be posted on their website's #periodpositive coverage.

The aim is simple. Breaking menstruation taboos and educating people of all ages and genders about periods and menstrual hygiene. No myths allowed. Shake off those stigmas. Embrace the stain. #periodpositive, Irise International, and Sexpression are hosting an action packed day and evening of bloody brilliant activities! During the day, there are free interactive workshops, comedy, crafting and creative writing activities, chance to grill experts and researchers about the future of menstrual education and much, much more.

Chella Quint, founder of #periodpositive and menstruation researcher, will be taking the to the stage in the evening for a very special one-off show of her popular Adventures in Menstruation stand up, all about raising the awareness of Menstrual Hygiene Day and taking on taboos. Tickets are £5/3 advance and £6/4 on the door: take the night off and join us for special guests, comedy, experiments, audience participation, quizzes and prizes provided by local legends such as Tamper Coffee and Catherine's Choice jam!

Come along to Theatre Deli (the old Woolworths) on The Moor, Sheffield, tomorrow for fun and factual festivities and fundraising! If you can't make it, don't worry, your support still matters: spread the word using #menstrualhygiene #menstruationmatters and #periodpositive on social media and be part of the period revolution.
